The old Mr. Stein has offered shelter to young Kimmy, but their food and water are running out quickly. Later in prison, insurgents build a raft for their escape. Sonja and Manu go on a rubber boat in search of Femke, food and medicine. But in the extinct Oostende they find nothing but looters and corpses.
